Shelter, passenger, British Columbia Electric Railway

KANAMODEL EXPRESS kits are designed in the same way as their regular kits but are of smaller buildings. All include laser-cut Mt Albert Scale Lumber siding, colour coded scale stripwood, cast windows and doors, etc., plus all feature our "WORKING WITH WOOD" pamphlet. Paint, cement and an X-acto knife are all that is needed to construct these realistic kits. With our complete instructions including photographs they are easy enough to build for the absolute beginner, but realistic enough for the advanced modeller, and they are ideal for adding to larger industrial scenes.
Passenger shelters were a common site in North America everywhere there were commuter trains, or interurban lines. Our prototype was used by the British Columbia Electric Railway Company until the mid 1950's when the private company was taken over by the government. This company ran interurban lines throughout the Fraser Valley of BC from Vancouver to Chilliwack a distance of about 75 miles.
Besides the usual features in all EXPRESS kits our model features a cast simulated wood base, cast roof supports and self adhesive rolled roofing. Its footprint is 3" wide x 1.5" deep.
