Quick Update

Quick Update
Posted by: Dave Cool

Hi Kids,

Several new Atlas releases have been added to the Store, such as 73' centre partition cars and 50' Berwick boxcars. They can be seen under New Products. As regards track products, I have plenty of flex track but most turnouts are not being shipped.

Note that the deadline for the latest InterMountain releases is approaching. Note also the tank car kits on sale at cost price due to a client cancellation (I really hate that!)

After having several requests for throttle pockets lately I have been buying the universal pocket from New Rail Models and have a few in stock.

I'm expecting Rapido FP9As in the next couple of weeks. I understand that the CN 1961 scheme is on it's way. I still have three units available in this scheme, plus two ACR. Don't forget to pre-order your CC&F lightweight coaches before the deadline of the 28th.

Another truck kit from Sylvan is a 1946-7 Mercury in two versions. That makes a total of 174 vehicle kits in production and they are all listed in the Store, here. I have many in stock. Order any six and I'll give you an extra 10% discount.

The latest George Taylor Model Kit is a wooden CP horse car. The regular discount applies and I will be placing an order if there is demand.

The Train Control Systems "WOWSound" decoders are almost shipping, it appears. Eagerly anticipated, these first (wired) decoders will be for steam locomotives in five configurations. You can see details and place an order here. I will, of course be stocking these if there is demand.

In other news there are more new building kits from Builders In Scale and Kanamodel Products. I also have a bunch of the "Switchmaster" switch machines back in stock. Only a few Canadian Trackside Guides remain in stock. Finally, the Proto 2000 wheel sets are available again.

Talking of sound decoders there doesn't appear to be any interest in ESU "LokSound". Am I right? Maybe there's not much point in becoming a dealer at the moment. Please leave a comment.

Well, I guess that's it for free shipping and in-stock sales for a while. There appears to be no interest in either, judging from your comments on the last blog post. Maybe later in the summer if I'm proved wrong. Meanwhile, with no shows for a while, the shelves in the "warehouse" have been re-filled, ready for walk-in sales (by appointment). Remember, 3% discount for cash.

That's it for now,

Have a great week-end,
