Quick Update

Shows, Clearance Sale, SW1200RS
Posted by: Dave Cool

Hi Kids,

It was good to see many of you at the Toronto show a week or so ago. Attendance seemed to be lower than my last appearance - and so were sales. I think I would have been better off sticking with the Whitby show, where my costs are much lower. Sorry that I didn't get to see y'all from the Port Hope, Oshawa, Bowmanville, Cobourg, Lindsay area. If the shows clash next year I'll probably be back at Whitby. Meanwhile I hope to see many of you at Belleville at the week-end.

If you subscribe to the RSS News Feed you've already seen the 20% Clearance Sale on all online rolling stock purchases. If not, here's the scoop.

So what do you think of the latest True Line Trains locomotive announcement? Does the EMD SW1200RS fit your modelling needs? Are the prices acceptable - or too high? Does the choice of sound system cause you hesitation, when the SoundTraxx Tsunami is de rigeur these days? Do you need more information before taking the plunge? (Actually, a few more sketches have just been posted on their site.) Comments, please.

Talking of True Line announcements, orders for the new CN and CV wood cabeese should be in by Wednesday.

The Athearn SW1000s in VIA have just turned up at my door - one of each number are left in the Store.

The exchange rate used in the Store is still 1.05.

Have a great week,
